From the moment Natalie Payne, Vice President at Calliope Collective, and I landed at Reno-Tahoe Airport, the experience unfolded like a dream. Our driver, Eric, greeted us with a warm smile, and a Lincoln Navigator stocked with champagne, refreshments, and sustainable Edgewood-branded gifts— a thoughtful welcome that set the tone for what was to come.

We stayed in one of Edgewood’s stunning three-bedroom villas, where thoughtful touches like fresh roses, handwritten notes, and curated treats created a warm, welcoming atmosphere. With elegant interiors inspired by Tahoe’s natural beauty, a fully equipped kitchen, inviting living spaces, and an expansive outdoor dining area, the villa offered an ideal blend of comfort and privacy for families, couples, or friends to relax and connect.

Each day brought a new adventure. We cruised across the crystal clear waters of Emerald Bay, explored the rugged beauty of Sand Harbor, and soared above it all on a gondola ride to over 9,000 feet where the views stretched endlessly across the lake. Even in summer, you can feel the whisper of winter in the air — a reminder of Tahoe’s year-round magic.

The Edgewood Spa was a sanctuary of calm. Our treatments, delivered by the talented Liz and Janice, were deeply restorative and tailored with care. The spa’s design, service, and product selection reflect a commitment to wellness that feels both luxurious and grounded.

Teeing off on Edgewood’s championship course was an unforgettable experience — impeccably maintained fairways set against a stunning natural backdrop, where every round felt both exhilarating and relaxed. Whether you’re an avid golfer or simply there to admire the breathtaking scenery, the spirit of camaraderie and enjoyment lingers long after you leave the green.

The resort’s culinary offerings are a celebration of seasonal, locally inspired ingredients, elevated by thoughtful presentation and world-class service. And nowhere is this more exquisitely expressed than at The Edge Restaurant & Lounge, the resort’s signature fine dining restaurant. Designed to reflect the natural beauty of Lake Tahoe, The Edge Restaurant & Lounge offers a setting that is both sophisticated and intimate. With sweeping lake views framed by floor-to-ceiling windows and interiors that blend wood, stone, and elegant textures, the ambiance is refined and welcoming — a perfect balance of luxury and comfort.

We were treated to a spectacular multi-course tasting menu that showcased the very best of Modern American cuisine. Each dish was a masterclass in flavor and finesse — from delicate scallop carpaccio and salmon crudo, to bold offerings like elk chop and foie gras, every bite told a story of the region’s bounty and the chef’s creativity. The service was impeccable — warm, intuitive, and deeply knowledgeable, and the team made us feel both celebrated and at ease. Dining here is meant to be leisurely and immersive, encouraging guests to savor each course and each moment.

Elsewhere on the property, Brooks Bar & Deck offered a relaxed yet refined experience with Owen’s gracious service adding a personal touch. Cocktails at the bar, crafted by mixologist Andrew, were inventive and elegant — a perfect prelude to dinner. And breakfasts delivered by Ivan and Beatrice were equally memorable, beautifully presented and thoughtfully prepared.
